Join us at Beerpourium for the release of Impi Brewers’ unique barrel aged/oaked beers and a chat with Impi and Margaret River Cooperage on the role of finely crafted barrels and oak chips in the making of finely crafted beers. If you’re interested in learning more about the traditional craft of cooperage and barrel ageing of beers, then this is an event not to miss.

Impi Head Brewer, Jason Marais will share how he brings his analytical chemistry, brewing and cicerone expertise to each new beer and how different barrels and oak chips influence the final product.

Cooper John Kingdon specialises in repairing, reconditioning, toasting, charring of barrels and recycling old barrels into infusion bag staves. He will discuss how this ancient trade is significant in today’s modern world and also have his homebrew-sized barrels for sale.

Ticket price includes tasting paddle, large pour of your favourite & generous serves of woodfired food. Stay on for our free live music to celebrate the release of Impi’s barrel aged beers with a full 8 tap takeover. Live music with Blues & Roots duo ‘Blackwood Rising’ from the deep south of WA.

Beerpourium’s wood-fired kitchen serves up perfect beer companions. Share platters of our Pizzas (vegetarian options), Honey Soy Chicken Wings, Potato Skins, Chorizo & Haloumi Bites, and Parmi Fingers are included in your ticket.
